One Poncho. Every Adventure. The Whole Family.
Our poncho+ towels were tested on weekend warrior trips because when you're living the van life with kids, every piece of gear needs to earn its space.
When you're juggling kids, snacks, and the chaotic wet swimsuit change, all while holding a soggy, sand-covered towel, we get it. We’ve lived that exact scene, from the rivers of Oregon to the beaches of Mexico.
That’s when we realized; there had to be a better way.
So we created one. Not just a towel. Not just a cover-up. But a thoughtfully designed poncho that eliminates the choice between the two, because now, you don’t have to pick.
How OnDay Was Born
We left everything behind — steady jobs, familiar routines, the life we were supposed to want — and drove south to La Paz, Mexico with our kids and everything we owned in a van.
The Sea of Cortez became our teacher, showing us that the best family memories aren't perfectly planned – they're perfectly simple. Morning swims, impromptu beach picnics, and sunset walks that turned into unexpected adventures.
"You just show up." That's what La Paz taught us. No extensive packing lists. No complicated plans. All you really need is a couple of OnDay towel ponchos, chips and gauc, your favorite people, and the willingness to stay until the sun disappears below the horizon.
¿Qué onda?
In Spanish, “¿Qué onda?”, literally “what’s the wave” or “what’s the vibe”, is more than just a casual greeting.
It’s an invitation to slow down, tune in, and live in sync with the moment. You don’t need elaborate plans to create something meaningful. The real magic happens in the unplanned; kids chasing waves at sunset, laughter around a beach bonfire, stories shared with sandy feet and salty hair.
As a brand, we’re grounded in this spirit. We believe in shared adventures, cherished memories, and the simple joy of being truly present with the people you love.
