What are the poncho towels made from?

OnDay Poncho+ Towels are made from recycled polyester terry and waffle fabric, certified under the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), and come in four sizes (Ponchito through Poncheron so the whole family can match), with both a hood and a front pocket. They're designed for exactly the kind of real family beach days described above — not just the Instagram version of a beach day.

What does GRS certified mean?

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is an independent certification that verifies the recycled content in a textile — tracking it from source through to the finished product — and sets requirements around chemical use and processing along the way. It means what touches your family's skin comes from genuinely recycled material, not just a marketing claim.

What does OEKO-TEX certified mean?

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is an independent certification that tests the finished fabric for harmful substances, chemical residues, dyes, and treatments that shouldn't be anywhere near skin. It means what your kid wears home from the pool has been tested and verified safe, not just labeled "safe" because it sounds nice.

Are your ponchos eco-friendly?

We produce in small batches intentionally, it reduces overproduction waste and means each design gets real attention. We use GRS-certified recycled materials and keep our product line focused rather than churning out quantity. Eco-friendly to us means making things worth keeping for a long time.

Do the poncho towels have pockets?

Yes, every OnDay Poncho+ Towel includes a front pocket. Perfect for keys, sunscreen, a snack, or your phone while you're on the go.

Do they have a hood?

Yes, all of our poncho towels include a hood, great for keeping hair out of your face after swimming or shielding little ones from the sun while they dry off.

Are they quick-dry?

Yes. In warm weather, most poncho towels dry in 20–40 minutes. They're lightweight and pack down small, so they won't weigh down your beach bag or backpack.

Care Instructions

How do I wash my OnDay poncho towel?

Machine wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach or iron. The less heat, the longer the design and fabric will last.

Will the design fade over time?

With proper care, cold wash and low heat dry, the designs hold up well over many seasons. Avoid bleach and high dryer heat, which are the main causes of fading in printed terry fabrics.
